What is Invisacook?
Imagine a kitchen countertop you can cook directly on just like you would any ordinary stovetop, but without the wasted counter space, or drawbacks of a traditional stove. This may sound like something out of James Bond’s movie, but it actually exists!
Invisacook has developed an induction hob that can be positioned just under the kitchen countertop and evenly heats the pans through the surface.
Its innovative technology combines a functional cooking surface with luxury design.
How Does It Work?
Ultimately it works just like any normal electric stove to cook your food but without the messy cleanup from food burnt onto the surface. By using induction heating you only heat the pan. How does that work?
When the alternating current flows through the copper coils inside the round induction units above it creates an electromagnetic field. This field harmlessly passes through the solid surface of your counter, and like a magnet, it only reacts with the iron molecules in your pan. This then creates micro-vibrations that create thermal energy which heats up the pan and cooks your food.
But you can tell your friends that it's magic.
Can I connect this to my Smart Home?
Yes. Your Invisacook stovetop is ready for the future! As a Smart Home-ready stovetop it comes with a built-in wireless connection that allows you to easily connect to your home's wifi system and then integrate it into your smart home system.
This free app allows you to not only use its intuitive controls on your smartphone but can also integrate into a number of popular home automation platforms that you may already use.
Platforms such as SmartThings, Control 4, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Apple's Siri, and more may give you the ability to control by voice and with home automation scenes.
Why Porcelain Countertops?
At Elevated Stoneworkz we know stone countertops. We are the premier fabrication shop for designers, architects, and DIYers in Salt Lake City, and work with all kinds of stone slabs. But we will only install the Invisacook stovetop on porcelain countertops; here's why: Durability and Stain Free
Durability
In order for the Invisacook to work we have to mill the stone down to 12 mm or just under 1/2 inch. We can do that, but natural stone often has small imperfections that may compromise the strength and durability of the cooking surface. Imagine cooking on your new natural stone countertops only to have them crumble or crack under the constant use of cooking.
But what about Quartz? The problem with using quartz is that it is a manmade material that uses ground-up natural stone with a resin that is baked at 175° - 185° and made into slabs. your pans will get between 200° and 350° and the radiant heat from the pan may deteriorate the quartz and cause it to become too brittle and discolored. This brings us to our next reason.
Stain Free
The allure of the Invisacook stovetop is that you don't see any signs of it in your kitchen. We know that while you're cooking there is going to be some occasional spills and splatters that, over time, will cause staining in the pours of other types of stone countertops; making your Invisacook stovetop very visible and unsightly over time.
In order to insure that your Invisacook stovetop continues to provide you with that high-end luxurious appeal; we only use highly durable, scratch-resistant, and non-porous quality porcelain slabs to create your new countertops.
Let us introduce you to some of the most beautiful-looking porcelain slabs to fit your design. Elevated Stoneworkz is very experienced and highly qualified to work with porcelain from all major suppliers.
